It’s not the typical journey that most people take to become a DJ, or any profession for that matter. It is however a story that might wake a few people up and say “Hey, I can relate to that.”

The beginning is that I have always had a deep love for music. I grew up listening to 80’s Pop/Rock, 90’s Hip-Hop/R&B and on the bus ride home from school the local Country Music Station. So from a young age my taste of music was well blended. I always knew I wanted to do something in music I just wasn’t sure what that was. I ‘m NOT a singer so I knew that wasn’t going to be it and I’m not a rapper so that was out as well. In 2005 I bought computer software called Fruity Loops. It was designed to make beats and music. So I got to work. I made a few songs and then decided well, lets start a record label and actually get someone who can sing on these songs. Knockaround Records was born. We signed an artist, recorded a song and then as life has a way of doing things, I went in another direction.

I finished college and went off and worked a job for the past 10 years that I didn’t like. Always thinking at some point I would come back to the music. A while back I picked up a DJ Controller to “spin” beats at home. I knew this time that I had to make this happen. I left my job. I started booking gigs, doing house parties and playing whenever and wherever I could. This led to bigger events such as Weddings, Corporate & School Gigs and full out event planning for my own themed parties.
